This Thursday hundreds of students in schools across the country received their A-level results. Altogether schools in South Shields displayed excellent results, with more pupils than ever earning 3 or more A-levels at grades A*-E.
More than four out of every five students (82.6%) across the constituency earned three or more A-levels, while over 98% achieved at least one. In two of the schools every single student came away with one or more A-levels.
Emma sent out a message congratulating students on their results, saying she was thrilled that their hard work and the support of parents and staff had been rewarded.
Emma said: “I want to congratulate all students in Shields on their hard work. This is an excellent set of results, and it great to see students’ effort rewarded. They should all be proud of what they have achieved, and I hope that this success serves them well on whatever path they choose to pursue in the future.”
