Emma helped launch an independent review of local charity Women’s Health in South Tyneside, WHiST, today.
The independent review looked into the effectiveness of organisation such as WHiST, as well the long term benefits they have on people’s health
WHiST are a local charity that focus on improving women’s health in South Shields, offering services such as counselling, exercise classes and complimentary therapies such as massages or reflexology.
The organisation also recently won the inaugural Bevan Prize for Health and Wellbeing, an award set up to recognise organisations which are committed to the founding principles of the NHS.
Emma said:
“It was an honour to be a part of the launch of WHiST’s independent review today and to meet staff, volunteers and service users there.
“I am incredibly proud to have this organisation in my constituency and I’m sure they will continue going from strength to strength”
