This week Emma Lewell-Buck MP visited a children’s holiday sports camp run by Keep Kids Active at Whitburn Village Primary School. The camp is run by the community interest company Keep Kids Active, which has recently expanded its range of activity days into South Tyneside.
The camp is one of 29 being held across the North East, and has been based at the school since 22 July, with sessions running until 2 August. Keep Kids Active offers daily activities for children aged 5 to 11 including dance, football, rounders and cheerleading. The camp is run by Keep Kids Active Director Colin Dagg, along with a team of professional coaches.
Emma said:
“This is a fantastic summer activity for children in my constituency. The camp not only teaches the children about sport but also team work, friendship and how to stay healthy.”
