Emma’s In the Pink !

September 13, 2016

Emma is calling out for everyone to ‘think pink’ on Friday 21st October to support people affected by breast cancer as part of the national, one-day  ‘Wear it Pink’ fundraising event, organised by Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity .

Emma joined her fellow Parliamentarians to ‘Wear it Pink in Westminster’ , encouraging people to get involved in the campaign, which hopes to ensure that by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live. ‘Wear it Pink’ raises close to £2 million each year for world-class research into the causes, detection and treatment of breast cancer.

Emma said: “ Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Most of us know someone who has been diagnosed, yet the UK still has one of the lowest breast cancer survival rates in Western Europe. The campaign goes a long way in highlighting this very serious subject and I am hoping that everyone will enjoy finding their own way to add that splash of colour to their outfit and donating whatever they can on the 21st October.
