June 26, 2014

140626 Harton VisitEmma was pleased to welcome students from Harton Technology College to the Houses of Parliament this week.

The students, who are studying Government and Politics, took a tour of the Palace of Westminster and climbed Big Ben, and also had the opportunity to watch debates in the House of Commons.

The group also held a half hour Q&A session with Emma to ask questions about politics and her work in Westminster.

Emma said:

“I was impressed by the class’ political knowledge and their keen interest in the work MPs do in Parliament.  I really enjoyed meeting the group, and we had some very interesting and wide-ranging debates.

“I hope the class found their visit rewarding, and I’m sure they all have bright futures ahead of them.”
