The NSPCC has today published a blog written by Emma in support of its ‘Order in Court’ campaign to make Britain’s criminal justice system more accommodating for child victims and witnesses. Emma writes about the impact the courtroom environment and aggressive cross-examination can have on vulnerable children, and the need for lawyers and judges to be specially trained to communicate with young witnesses in a fair and appropriate way.
