Emma Lewell-Buck, Member of Parliament for South Shields, visited the Royal Mail Sorting Office last week.
Whilst there, Emma was shown around the sorting office and met members of staff there who deliver and sort the mail for the people of South Shields.
Emma said:
“It was great to see all the dedicated work the staff at Royal Mail Sorting Office do for the public in South Shields. Many of the staff I met take enormous pride in the work they do and often go above and beyond their role to ensure good customer service.
“With the Royal Mail set to be privatised, it is essential that the current government makes sure it continues to be the profitable business it currently is”.
