Emma passed with flying colours in a disability quiz when challenged by a young Ambassador from the charity Whizz-Kidz, at the Labour Party Conference.
Whizz-Kidz – a national charity which provides disabled youngsters with life-changing mobility equipment, as well as opportunities to learn valuable life skills and become more independent, arranged for Aaron to play quiz master as he tested MPs’ disability facts knowledge at the Conference.
Emma said:
“I had a great time meeting Aaron at Labour Party Conference, and I was pleased to get a pretty decent 5 out of 7 in his Whizz Quiz. Aaron is a fantastic ambassador for the great work Whizz Kidz do across our region helping disabled children and young people.”
Aaron, 15, from Rochdale said:
‘Being at Labour Party Conference was a brilliant experience.
I enjoyed meeting supportive MPs like Emma who understand the issues young people like me face, and do lots to support Whizz-Kidz.’
Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children and young people across the UK with life-changing mobility equipment and also provides opportunities for disabled youngsters to learn valuable life skills, make friends and become more independent, through their youth clubs, residential camps, wheelchair skills training and work placements programme.
Last year, the charity transformed the lives of 4,000 disabled children and youngsters in the UK.
Whizz-Kidz has supported 88 disabled kids in the North East with appropriate mobility equipment over the last 12 months.
